Well, I would have like some payoff to the angles of Fatima, Minos, and Malcho. All three are left hanging with plans for revenge and no pay off. I would have loved more Amin Damoolah/Mozenrath stuff. I think it has some humor potential. I've always thought that "As the Netherworld Turns" would have been a perfect place to bring Jafar back into the series, even if for only a cameo. You'd think he'd probably be roaming the palace, giving his domination plans an all. But, it must of been in his cards to become a new arrival in the Grecian underworld years after his death. :? I have a problem with how fast the ending to "Seems Like Old Crimes" comes about; it feels rushed to me. Once Jasmine is taken to the Temple of Destiny, the episode flys to a conclusion that feels weird given the set up. I don't know, maybe it's just me. One of my biggest problems in the series are how the Forty Thieves are portrayed in KOT. "Welcome to the Forty Thieves" is a bit much. I know they were going for the idea of loyalty among members, but dancing with pink ribbons is a bit much. The only character's background that I would have loved to seen more of would be Iago's. They referred to it alot, but it would have been interesting had they flashed back and shown us something. And I'm with AG- more servants. I'm glad the guards and Abim got screen time, but there have to be some interesting people in that palace that could make a good episode.
Problem was, the episodes were done all over the world. I think WD Australia had the best episodes, actually. ^_^ They did episodes like "The Secret of Dagger Rock" and "The Lost Ones" (OMG, Mirage was animated BEAUTIFULLY in that one)

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. I just wish they could have kept the quality of animation from the original film. Some episodes didn't look too bad... others... well, for me, they ruined what could have been a great episode.

The animation is the only thing that prevents me from watching "Destiny on Fire" more often. I love the content; it's just painful to look at.

Oh yeah, they can screw up big time on the animation. I think they screw up on Jasmine more than anyone else. I think in "The Flawed Couple" there is one scene where her head seems to be too big for her body. It's scary

One of the things I would change about the series is the animation. When you've seen the series thousands of times, you notice more and more mistakes.

And, he has some mega cool models of Agrabah and a giant toy collection. I think the good outweighs the bad.

So, he is a bit senile, overweight, and can't finish rants when he is mad. But, he is a good archer and can ride flying horses. Gotta love old people.

I've wondered about that one, myself! At times he seems a bit senile.

That still doesn't excuse Sultan though. How the hell could he not find the center of his own city?

I've always thought about the Alzheimer's idea. I was going to add that element into a fanfiction once (when my grandpa was going through it).

The only thing that really bugs me about Jasmine is how her voice changes from time to time. Not exactly her voice, but more so the pitches from high to low. I still cringe when I watch the beginning of "The Return of Jafar" when she says "You made quite and impression, you know."
Well, there's actually a story behind that one.
Musker and Clements wanted to hire Linda Larkin to play Jasmine, but Katzenberg thought her voice was too low. So they had her read the part in a higher voice, and she got the part.

I guess the Sultan lead a sheltered life as well. But I agree with Sammy, not finding the center of the city shouldn't be that hard. Just go through the doors and go straight. It's not like he hasn't made speeches to the people who were standing in the middle of the city.
What about all the times the Sultan goes on tours of the Seven Deserts and stuff? You'd think he'd pass through it to leave. I doubt highly that his first royal voyage was during the series- he may have been worried about Jasmine, but that man would have to leave to do
some
business.
I'm with you on Jasmine's voice. It gets grating at times. But I've noticed times when Aladdin's voice goes too deep. There's a part in "Seems Like Old Crimes- Part Two" when he yells "Let him go Minos!"- his voice is either way too deep, or it's not Scott Weinger doing it.

It's the Agrabah Criminal Diet. Eat bread and fruit. Then run from the Sultan's popo's all day. You'll be fit in no time.

That's true, Aladdin was very fit compared to the family Jasmine found.

I agree with Marisa on Jasmine- I guess seeing Aladdin reasonably healthy and fit (due to his stealing), must have made her think that all the poor people in Agrabah were well fed, even without the money to buy alot. The way the non-thief streetrats were eating in the episode must have been a shock.
