To be quite honest, I've always seen Sadira as pathetic. Not to mention a wannabe homewrecker. Someone that desperate for something she can't have... and that easily persuaded needs some help.
The Brief History of Sadira:
"Strike Up the Sand"
Sadira: I like Aladdin, but he's already got a preppy girlfriend. Maybe if I get rid of her he'll like me...
(Sadira's plan fails.)
Aladdin: I like you, Sadira, but I don't
like
like you. Maybe a year ago you could have been one of my many girlfriends, but now I love Jasmine. Want to be friends?
Sadira: Yay, he likes me!
"SandSwitch"
Sadira: Okay, he said he'd like me if he never met Jasmine. So I'll make it so he never met her. And for good measure I'll make myself a rich, beautiful princess like her.
(Sadira's plan fails.)
"Dune Quixote"
Sadira: Okay, time to try a new angle. Aladdin seems to be horny most of the time, and Jasmine doesn't seem to be putting out. So, I'll try seducing him. And just to be certain... (spikes Aladdin's pomegranite juice)
(Sadira's plan fails.)
(Sadira and Jasmine spend the whole episode trying to clean up the mess caused by the plan failing.)
Sadira: Hey, now that I've stopped thinking about how to get Aladdin for two seconds I realize I don't care about him that much at all; I just want a friend. And now Jasmine is my friend!
(And there was much rejoicing.)
"Witch Way Did She Go?"
Shakanta: Hey, it looks like you want friends, Sadira.
Sadira: Piss off, I've already got friends.
Aladdin: OMGWTFsandviper!!!1
Sadira: Okay, so maybe I don't have friends... But maybe if I catch the witches Al and Jas'll like me again!
(Sadira excecutes Iago's plan B : pretend to switch sides to fool the enemy.)
Aladdin: Traitor!
Sadira: D'oh!
Iago: Yeah, coulda told you that was the downside of Plan B...
(Sadira's plan succeeds!
)
Sadira: *cough* Now, what's this "traitor" buisness?
Aladdin: We suck. Forgive us?
(And Sadira has friends like she always wanted. Sadira then goes to the wedding as Murk's date. And everyone lived happily ever after, the end.)

I always thought of Sadira as being younger than Al and Jas. She's not really "pathetic", just immature. I know younger teenagers can be a lot more obsessive about crushes and blow things like that out of proportion. That's kind of what I like about this ep and Dune Quixote; she seems like she grows up a lot over the course of the series.

I totally agree. I think part of it is that when she mat Aladdin at first, it was much more infatuation than anything. She acted impulsively, chasing after him at any cost. As the series wroe on, she got older and wiser, and realized that it was just an infatuation and that she could still be friends with Al and Jas without feeling like she had to have Aladdin as a boyfriend.

Well, she had just gained their trust (at least all of Jasmine's) and called a truce, so for those same people to be accusing you of something you didn't do would give you plenty of room to overeact. And I think she said she didn't have any friends, so that adds to it.
Which brings in what I said before: I also think it was out of personna that Jasmine and ALaddin were so quick to blame her!

Yeah, but she didn't *actually* join the Witches; it was an act.
So she is just a bad actress?
I'll take that, but still.. She
did
still think that Jasmine and Aladdin hated her... I also think Al and Jas were a bit off for getting mad at her so easily...
