yeah, carpet would be of the same quality of those blankets on an airplane, or a blanket from a cheap-o motel or hotel.
Nah, I think he has the opposite problem...he's a valuable, hand-woven rug of great quality and so I think it'd make him difficult to wash well, and you wouldn't want to ruin him!
Seriously whenever I hear Dan as Genie. I get Homer Simpson in my head. In RoJ, Genie was playing with the Hula Girl doll and says, " Oh, She dances. " Boom! There's Homer. It's hard to get used to him after Robin. Does Dan do the animated series too?
Duh!
( check out the Actors and Animators. views it.) Whoa! That's Dan? He's far from what I imagined to be.

I don't blame this one on Dan. I blame it on the writers.

True, Genie is not stupid and he's not a moron. However, I don't think Dan's Genie is any less sharper in wit than Robin's--he's just a little dingier at times
. I mean, who's to say that Robin's Genie wasn't as dingy as Dan's and we just didn't see that side yet because he hasn't had that conflicting issue with his powers, or really became comfortable with the gang yet to act like that?
I think in the case of the series he has to be a little off because a lot of the problems and situations like fighting monsters would be solved like that and there'd really be no point to the series. I think Robin's Genie was just as dingy as Dan's series Genie in KOT (which I guess you could say was on the part of the writers since Dan was doing the role first).
Honestly, I accept and love both for what they've done to his character, and I try not to look at the fact that Genie has two voice overs for why he is the way he is. I can't say Dan "messed up Genie" because honestly-he's all we got and I really don't think he messed him up. He just voices the guy. He can't be like Robin because that would just piss him off even more, so he has to add his own spin on it, which might be in this case Homer Simpson.
I can't even seperate the two anymore because I've become accustom to both. But everything he does and how he acts can all be accounted for one way or another.

That kiss at the end of KoT was the best animated kiss ever.
What really annoys me is that when you let anybody who is not Robin Williams be in charge of Genie, he always ends up being a moron. Genie is NOT stupid! He may be no Sherlock Holmes, but it takes a pretty sharp mind to be that witty.
In my opinion, the only reason Genie isn't any "smarter" than he is is because he never learned - nor really even needed to learn to actually think something through. Even though he goofs off most of the time, he has a very deep, serious side to him which you don't often see.
In short, he's not stupid, he's naive. He has a lot of "book learning," but not much actual experience in a lot of matters... though he seems to know a lot about True Love.

Although, I think for all the hot lead-up, after what we see in the movie is probably Carpet staging a protest. If Carpet could speak: "You waited this long, could you PLEASE just hold off until I get you where you're going? Thank you!"
Carpet: You are SO not doing that on me. I just went in for a shampooing yesterday!

I remember reading a review of KoT on a review site for parents and it warned that the Oracle might scare little kids. She has a big part in my fanfic ideas, so I now want to have a scene with little babies bursting into tears when they see her. I feel so sorry for her.
