But the child was his, wasn't it? Except that it was conceived when he was a genie. Grandpa would probably have his wish list ready if he found out. :D Although I don't imagine Cassim being much help to Aladdin in anything like this, since, well, he just was never there, so he would be just as new.
Yeeeeeeaaah... except when she thought to herself "I will not be ignored!" I had in mind mostly an irritated, so-if-that's-how-you're-going-to-be tone of voice in my head.
Yes, but that was the quote that stood out the most for me without having to write out a paragraph of dialouge.

I also drew a picture of Prince Farid last night. Despite the fact that I tried to make him look kinda tall and geeky, he ended up with a strange bishounen beauty about him... erm, as close as you can get to bishounen for an Aladdin character.
Hmm, possible fan art for me to do next...

Yes, the child is Aladdin's. Being as how the child was conceived while Aladdin was temporarily a genie, the child is half-genie himself.
However, I don't think much is going to come of that, being as how Kateb sapped Babkak's magic, and quite frankly, nobody's going back for it anytime soon.

Oh, neglect, never. I can just see him becoming a little more...introverted. Not as outgoing, almost a little nervous or scared around Jasmine. A little overwhelmed with shock. Nothing that would last long, as he would be thrilled, and he doesn't want to leave her alone like his father did. She'd think that he was pulling away a bit, when in actuality, he's just taking some time to let things sink in for him.
True. And Aladdin would always talk to her if Jasmine asks him what's wrong or if something is really bothering him. They wouldn't let something that would linger in between them. They are one. Marriage is the two become one deal. They are each other's perfect halves.
Syera, I don't know how you feel guilty but, I would see it if Aladdin is upset and neglects Jasmine if the child she's carrying isn't his. If that is the case, he would be upset and betrayed. He would say, This is my true love, my wife. Shouldn't she be having my children ?" But in the end, I know that he would still take care of her and continue to love her..

Well you should feel guilty. For one I would have actualy liked to read Aladdin doing that. LOL! But that's just me.

Dangnabbit, now you're making me feel a tad guilty for not exploring the possible emotional aspect that Aladdin could've been going through in
Consequences.

But I know he wouldn't neglect Jasmine. He loves her and there's that piece of him growing in Jasmine's belly. A child that love built. He wanted a family. Aladdin growing up in the streets in Agrabah. He sees other kids with their families. He wanted to belong. Building a family and being there for his family is going to mkae him complete.
If he didn't want a family then why get married ?

I can see Jasmine being upset that Aladdin seems more far away; "He seemed so excited...does he really want the baby after all?" "Is something wrong with me?" And yes, "Does he not find me attractive anymore?"
That's true in reality. Pregnant women tend to get more emotional because their hormones are sky high and sensitive to everything. As in a guy's standards, it's a shock. You have to wise up because you're bringing a child to this world. As a father you have to try to bring up the kid in the right environment, the right advice, and avoid making mistakes. You have to be the Big man of the house. A double deuce, It's hard to run a country and maintain a family standards.
In Aladdin's case, he would be excited and scared. But I know he wouldn't neglect Jasmine. He loves her and there's that piece of him growing in Jasmine's belly. A child that love built. He wanted a family. Aladdin growing up in the streets in Agrabah. He sees other kids with their families. He wanted to belong.
