I'm not sure why they didn't. Perhaps they should have done an arquitectural plan and landscape for the Palace, or something. In the first movie, when the Sultan is telling Jafar to discuss sentencing of prisoners, and all that, the balcony is right beside the throne. Then in RoJ, when Jafar is bringing up all that treasure for Abis Mal, it's on the wall to the left of the left the throne. Near as I can tell, the pool is exactly behind the throneroom, while the fountain is more to the left if you were facing the throne, IE, the east. In the first movie, outside of Jasmine's balcony is the peacock fountain, later there's no fountain, and in ROJ, there's a pool. Unless Jasmine has more than one bedroom, or something. And I've always thought there were more than one courtyard. This movie is just what gives me my love for fountains. I want loads when I have my own place.
