[quote="AladdinsGenie"]I'm not much a fanfiction reader or writer, but personally I'd just use indictive phrases to let them know it was a thought like "blah, blah, blah" said to himself or "blah, blah, blah" she pondered quietly. I guess it depends what style guide you're using. You can represent them other ways but italics are acceptable as well.

So, italics
are
used for thoughts? I was told it was wrong and stopped doing that.

In professional fiction they use italics for all those things and I've never gotten confused. It's easy enough to tell from the context. IMO those weird symbols people make up to denote those kind of things are even more confusing, because they're different from writer to writer.
Actually, sometimes I see single quotes 'like this' instead of "like this" used for thoughts as well, if you want to use that.

Yeah, I guess that too. But questions like if a character is thinking to themselves how do you put that in writing for the reader to understand and for flashbacks. Without over doing the italics. If you italics for all thoughts, memories and flashbacks then it gets the reader confused.

Okay, correct link is here:

Hourglass has also asked to be added, but I haven't put her on the list yet, FYI. I still need to import all that stuff into the new template.

I need a beta, but there don't seem to be any people on that list.
Any suggestions on where else I can get one?
EDIT: Would the AML be a good place to find one? I joined recently, but there's not much activity there, and I don't know anyone. :-/
EDIT-EDIT: ...Um...Suggestions, anybody?... *cricket chirping in background*
