You know, I'm rather fond of the kiss with Tarzan and Jane, but that's not an option

I'll have to go with Pocahantas and John Smith, although I still think that all the kisses that Al and Jas have shared are much better than that one, especially the one at the end of KOT). But it was good, cause it made the other guy mad.

I don't know; it sort of had to work this way, though; if she'd told him, say, right after the dance, he would have turned right back before the climactic battle with Gaston and the whole thing would have been a lot more lame.
I know a lot of people who just don't feel comfortable saying the words; they feel silly or insincere or something. Or just think some things are understood and don't need to be said aloud...
Which makes me wonder...the part about her having to love him in return...did that mean she had to SAY it? Because I think she certainly FELT it before she said it (I think she starts to think it's possible around "Something There" and for sure by the time she tells Gaston that he's her "friend" and dodges his remark suggesting that she has feelings for the Beast), but maybe not... Maybe Beast had to be certain that he was loved back and let's face it, the guy didn't have the greatest confidence in the world...maybe she's the type to show she cares through actions and he's the type that needs verbal affirmation and if they'd just been on the same page he could have transformed long before he actually did, albeit in a more lame scenario.
Meh, whatever. *hugs Chip*

And see, that bugs me too because...he's dead
. I've learned I'm not a big fan of "it takes a death for me to realize or say ______" moments.

I voted for Belle and her Prince...I never was bothered that she didn't kiss him before; he didn't exactly try to kiss HER either before the transformation...I don't doubt she really loved him, I just think that even so...it would be...awkward, at least at first, to pursue a physical aspect of that relationship. And perhaps even moreso for him than for her; I think he'd worry about hurting her or scaring her if he tried to kiss her.
I think the only reason Belle never kissed him as a Beast is because he was really nervous about letting her know his feelings for her, and he let her go before he did tell her and she hadn't fully processed what he meant to her yet. When he transforms...she's TOLD him (told the BEAST) that she loves him...and even though he still hasn't told her, she finally knows and accepts it and so they FINALLY kiss and I love it because it seems like they're both a little nervous but they both realize that this is what they've wanted for quite some time now. Plus it's so beautifually animated...and it sets off fireworks, for crying out loud!
I think the kiss at the end when they're dancing is cute, too, but I like the Belle-not-in-ball-gown one better.

have they released it on dvd?
September 2003; it's back in the vault now.
(If you can find it on the secondary market or mixed in with used movies at places that sell used DVDs, I HIGHLY recommend it! VERY good DVD, stuffed full of great extras and with a beautiful restoration job. Just ignore that fullscreen option; Sleeping Beauty NEEDS to be watched widescreen.)

I have to say Pochahontas, since she and John Smith had TWO hot kisses instead of one.
Besides Al and Jas, I think they're the best Disney couple.

No, u make a valid point! (not about ur issues, about the kiss)
I'm just waiting to see what others say about the kiss. I find that SNow and Cindy won't get mnay votes simply cause their kisses weren't as interesting, lol!
