Yes, you are seriously overthinking this. I've got a lot of time at my hands now that exams are over and Jas does too, so maybe I can get her to write a fic with me. But she's never written anything as far as I know and it's been forever that I wrote anything, so I'm not sure how it would turn out.
If she hated away my clothes, I'd probably hate her away. That or just hate away her ability to hate away.
I don't *want* to hate away your clothes. ;)
And this is just the tip of the iceburg.
Iceberg, my dear - it's a German word. ;)
I'd rather have John and Rodney. They're single. ;)
Very good point. It's just that sadly only Joe and David exist in this world. That's why I stayed with drooling and squeeing. ;)
*Thinks* Andre can speak French... I think... and German... and so can his mother.

That was funny.

Oh, well, then, by all means, go ahead, but get some cool software and spend hours droning through it. That's how I managed to learn what Japanese I know.
And now, for my hours of work, I can recite... the numbers. From one to ten. And I can say a few basic sentences (I am a student of the Japanese language, You are an idiot, My little brother is a turtle, etc.) Which, in essence, just means I need to get back to it.
Edit: Actually, come to think of it, Syera and I have been known to hold whole conversations in (vaguely broken) Japanese. Most notably:
Syera: Mikei-hakase wa desu ka? ({What} is Dr. McKay?)
Janette: Mikei-hakase ningyo aru. (Dr. McKay is a merman.)
Syera: Iie, Zerenka-hakase wa ningyo desu. (No, Dr. Zelenka is a merman.)
Janette: Hai, Zerenka-hakase ningyo aru. Mikei-hakase wa sentaa aru. (Yeah, Dr. Zelenka is a merman. Dr. McKay is a centaur.)

But I want to learn some German and I knew some and Nessa even praised my naturalness and ease with it, but the last two days? I've sucked.

Then I'd suggest you give up German.
I know I'm getting out of it.

Well I like David Nykl too, but as Jas pointed out - he'd feel lonely in the Sheppard and McKay show.
Janette, you mean "Dummkopf".
And Jas was quite right with "du idiot", except that you gotta capitalize the noun! Poor her, another failure in German.
I knew it!
*cries* I wanna be smart again!

That's okay. I can't pronounce it either.
I'm really much better with Czech and Nihon-go. German always gave me the jibblies.

Silly Person! That is
not
how you spell 'der Büstenhalter'!

Yeah, that. It was the name of a character in an episode of Inspector Gadget.
I don't know much German, and I sure don't know how to spell much of it, but that's one of the words I've retained. Right along with "der Buschenhalter".
So, is that "du Idiot" or "du IDIOT"?

That's not the point. The point is, it's
Nykl
we're talking about - the epitome of mid-European middled-aged male cuteness. Catching him up in the general wave would be completely unfair.
Eh, I suppose. But who'd they be saving him for?
Silly Jas, the German word for "moron" is "doumkopf". Or "dumkopf" -- I don't remember exactly how it's spelled, but literally translated it means "dumbhead".

Why not? We'd wind up getting hated away, so we wouldn't be around to enjoy him.

I'm sure we could make it work.
Syera wrote:
...Y'all wouldn't hate David Nykl away, would you?
I'd guess that Nessa wouldn't want to hate him away, but I think he might be lonely if it's just the McKay and Sheppard show.
