Yes, I forgot to mention that. Norrington looks hot! He's so much better without that wig! If he gets his job back, I hope he doesn't put the wig back on. I hope they find a girl for him in the next film. Or at least a friend  When Elizabeth says, "Oh, James Norrington. What has the world done to you?" I wanted to yell, "What do you mean what has the 'world' done to him? You're the one who deaded him in the first movie and then hit his head with a bottle!"
I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY hate it when writers do that....REALLY hate it. I don't give a flip if you're trying to make people on the internet happy, YOU do what YOU want with YOUR show/movie/book, etc. The QUICKEST way to make something suck is to do that because you can feel when something is forced. It makes it unenjoyable, especially if you didn't want that/didn't know about it. I'm not in the POTC fandom, but I really hope that wasn't thrown in there for the sake of squeeage on the fans' parts.

Having finally seen the movie, my mother and I have come to the same conclusion: we really hate Elizabeth.
To be blunt, she is a self-serving, cross-dressing brat who spends the entire movie lying to everyone: She lies to Jack, she lies to Will, she lies to the crew, she lies to Norrington, and she lies to herself, too. I blame this chiefly on the writers' listening to the fans opinions on what Elizabeth Really Thinks Of Jack.
I came to the eventual conclusion that, in the third film, Elizabeth should realize what she's done and do something really stupid, like try to commit suicide. Will should then save her and they should work on coming to terms with the whole situation. This, IMO, would go a long way toward apologizing to the fans for that piece o'crap they call a plotlet.
I also have a lot more opinions on the movie, but I'm still working on those.

But am I the only one here that hopes he and Elizabeth DON'T get together?
After she sucked face with him, I didn't care because OMG POOR WILL. He was so hurt. It's ok...I'll take you home and marry you, errr, give you a cup of tea
. But after that, I don't really want anyone together now. They haven't really given me any valid reason for Jack/Elizabeth other than the whole "curiosity" speech. Hell, she could be curious about what's it like to kiss an un-dead monkey, but that doesn't mean you go over there and kiss it
. I'm giving her the benefit of a doubt that's she's just really horny right now and acting out of lust because of being denied her marriage, but not by much. NO EXCUSES. It actually makes her whole "I'm honorable and you're not" speech reeeaaally ironic.
And with Will/Elizabeth I'll be disgusted if she tries to do the whole "OMG I'M SORRY!!" bit to Will apologizing and still wanting to be with him/marry him, and he'll deny her for a while but eventually caving in and saying he still loves her and she does too and they're married and all is well again
. I'd say it's a big deal....or at least I'd make it a big deal because you don't get to be all "OMG Will! I missed you! *glomp kiss*" and then make out with someone we've almost been killed for SEVERAL times and call a mutal friend 30 minutes later.
I declare no marriages take place!
And I agree with whoever said the connection between the voodoo woman and Davy Jones. Watch she's the girl he ripped his heart out for
POTC 3=there's gonna be some drama.

I think of it as a rough draft.
I want to color and redo any scenes I think didn't turn out as good the first time.
Now to see if the good folks at YouTube feel the same.

Wow, Nez. That is... beautiful.
I do have a couple of gripes, though. For one thing, the text is right on top of the pictures, so I can't see all your pretty drawings.
The other thing is that all the text is the same font and color, so it's sometimes difficult to differentiate between narration and dialogue. Ideally, I would reccommend that you keep that font for the narration, use a different font for the dialogue, and use different font colors for the two characters.
(I guess
Schlock Mercenary
has kind of spoiled me in that regard, but it really does get confusing.)

Now, now, be fair. Cutlery can be vicious in the hands of the right Beckett.

I still can't get over the name "Lord Cutler Beckett."
Will someone PLEASE tell me how I'm supposed to take someone with a name like 'Cutler Beckett' seriously?

Something tells me that they secretly have Kareoke Night on the ship. I can see Davy hogging the microphone and forcing everyone to clap for him.
"Come on, everybody, sing! Yo, ho, yo, ho, a pirate's life for me-aw, forget it!" (Rememer Mr. Freeze and the Snowmeiser karaoke in

Actually, I would see the bo'sun holding up a sign reading, "Applaud or else!"

He's cool and everything, but really, Elizabeth wouldn't want to end up with a guy that's been from port to port, if you know what I mean (i.e. the scenes from the first movie with the multiple girls slapping him)? Besides, what about poor Will? He LOVES her, for goodness sake, and he's a good guy. I hope he doesn't end up with the fuzzy end of the lollypop.
In the Jack/Elizabeth shippers defence though, that ship is waaaay hotter than Will/Elizabeth
