Well, it would be a lot more exposed then their actual wedding dresses, now that I think about it... but not their normal outfits, no.
Well, a couple of the Belle ones look a bit like her golden dress, but that's about it.

I've just looked at all those dresses and I have to say that none of them remind me very much of the characters they are based on
The Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella ones seem very 'ordinary' to me somehow.

I agree, they just don't really stand out as unique to me. And for the most part, only a couple out of the whole collection looks anything like what the characters wore.
Jasmine= bohemian? Where'd they get that from?
Merriam-Webster wrote:
2 often not capitalized a : VAGABOND, WANDERER; especially : GYPSY b : a person (as a writer or an artist) living an unconventional life usually in a colony with others
- bohemian adjective, often capitalized
Not from that definition I'm sure.

Oh. My. Stars.
They're even worse than I thought they'd be.
It's not that they're all
bad
, per se, but looking at the photos has just reaffirmed my initial suspicion that the only thing "princess" the suckered buyer would be getting would be the word.
Quite frankly, these gowns look like a gazillion and nine bridal gowns already out there. There's nothing special about them at all.
And then... there's this...
UGLY UGLY UGLY UGLY DRESS!!!!!!!

This enchanting collection reflects Jasmine’s
bohemian spirit.
What the Elvis?! Oh, yes, Jasmine is SO a starving artist living in France.

I was just trying to think what it was about those dresses that made them look un-Jasmine-ish to me, and now it's hit me: no sleeves! Her normal outfit doesn't have any, but when she wears a dress it usually has sleeves, right? Her purple dress from the first movie and her wedding dress both did; I'm trying to remember about any others...

For the Jasmine dresses, I think the first, fourth, and fifth look like a "Jasmine" dress. I think the collection that most closely looks like the source material would be the "Belle" collection, namely three and five.

Wow.....WEDDING DRESSES!?O_O I'd never think Disney would do that. That is a pretty nice dress sketch though. Hmm, I wonder when we'll get pics of them. Should be really interesting to finally see.

Okay, to bring up the article Chaos found...

Cleghorn said women who buy from Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding collection are definitely in the inspired category. The gowns, she said, will only vaguely resemble the costumes made famous in Walt Disney movies and storybooks.
The gowns will retail from $1,100 to $2,900.
IE, they're going to make you pay a ridiculous price for nothing but a name.
As for a Jasmine-inspired wedding dress, I don't find imagining a dress that is visually evocative of Princess Jasmine very difficult at all.
Oh, well... should be a big hit in Japan, though, given what nuts they can be about SHINY NAMES!!! and DISNEY!!!
Edit: My rendition of a "Jasmine-like" wedding dress.
Any questions?

I'm thinking that from what they said they're going to make it more "Jasmineish" from the type of material that they're going to use.

I just found about the dress line today! I don't really know what to think of it...
That dress design looks pretty, but yeah, it doesn't really look like it was inspired by Jasmine. It *is* an early design, so maybe it'll change.

Ditto! You don't really see Jasmine in a dress very often (at least I don't!)...so how are they gonna make it look like it's inspired by her?

Maybe I'm whacked, but that dress doesn't even
vaguely
resemble anything remotely Jasmine-like to me.
