Word got out to my grandmother, who looked him up for herself. Apparently, she saw the Opera No. 2 video in which he wore prosthetic gills. His producer/manager has invented a "legend" to promote him: according to it, Vitas has got gills along with lungs, as if he were a 'fish-man', which allows him to sing like he does (the legend actually has been borrowed from a book of a russian writer, Alexander Beliaev "Amphibian Man", the main protagonist's name Ichtiandr has been also borrowed as another stage-name of Vitas).
