He would be better than Fazal, but you'd have problems because he isn't really a leader, IMO. No one but Fazal would take orders from him. |
Well, it's not like Nahbi has a bunch of lines/characterization in canon to pull from other than "And what about my bolas?!"
Hey, it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. He reminds me of Eeyore. That little animal is going to snap any day now |

You know, I've always gotten that vibe from him--that he was a street rat or really poor. I wanna say that's part of why he is so hard on Aladdin, but I wouldn't know where I was going with that idea |
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. Something like, he was able to survive without stealing (probably because he could get jobs that involve heavy lifting, but I digress), and and he worked hard to get to where he is, and suddenly this thief gets to be sultan just because of pure luck? (His PoV, not mine...)
But, yeah, I wonder what it is about him that we're both getting this vibe...?

Hakim!
Aladdin: I want you to be my new royal captain of the guards!
Hakim:...yay. I am so delighted. |

Well, I guess Rasoul does keep good discipline. But I didn't think he had nice hair.
I never thought about his past that he might have been a street rat or anything, though. |

Is Hakim the fat dumb one, and Fazal the skinny one? |

I personally think Aladdin's first move as Sultan should be to remove Rasoul as head guard. |
Aladdin has already stated in "Destiny on Fire" that he would not do so...

I mean, he doesn't seem to catch anybody. Well, just Cassim, once, but outside of that? |
Sadira; she only got away because Aladdin helped her. Abis Mal in "Caught By the Tale". Oh, and the rest of the forty theives except those eight or so. And the man did fight off half a mamluk patrol singlehandedly, once. In fact, now that I think about it the only actual thieves we've seen escape from him without help were Aladdin and then Jasmine in "SandSwitch" where she switched places with Sadira.
But also, you've got to understand, the show's called Aladdin, not Rasoul. I'm sure he catches lots of people, but we never see it because it's got nothing to do with the plot, and the plot's about Aladdin...
Also, if Rasoul were incompetent, it would make Aladdin being able to escape from him all those times less of a big deal. "They're quick, but I'm much faster", anyone?

Not to mention he's so...full of himself. |
Hmm, let's see... He has a tendency to be overconfident, he thinks his way of defending Agrabah is the only way, he's got nice hair but always wears a hat, his shirt shows way too much of his chest, and he surrounds himself with comic relief, one of whom is sarcastic and one of whom is constantly eating. Nope, not like Aladdin at all... |

Nah, Sa'luk has loyalities and priorities as well. His is loyal to the forty thieves, just not necessarily individual members

I forgot about that little part of Rasoul. I guess that's the answer to why he became a palace guard instead of a thief, or something. Seeing his similarities to Saluk, I started to ask myself that question. Seems that the difference is that Rasoul has his loyalties, priorities and all that, and Saluk is just plain evil.
Oh, yeah, he did to kill him as Prince Ali. Imagine the look on his face when he saw that he was alive after being thrown over a cliff. Well, Al does seem to have more lives than a cat. |

And WHAT was this about toenails? |
Oh. that one. Ag said" It was during the time when Jasmine and Sadira were having their girl talk."
You can hear Sadira say, " You caught him ? biting his --------- with his teeth? I can't believe that I like that guy."
Ag thinks that he bites his fingernails with his teeth.
I think that it's his toenails with his teeth . ( You know those damn ingrowns).
I don't know which is which. Maybe someone could clarify it for us. |

Once, when he was going to be executed in RoJ, and when else? |
That was the secondtime in RoJ. The first time was when Rasoul threw Prince Ali off the cliff into the sea in the first movie. |
