You're thinking of making a prokaryote or eukaryote or an atomic atom out of Aladdin characters? Where do you get the supplies on that ? Please post the picture of cell if finished. I would like to see it. |

Well, uh, Rasoul raises one over his head in every opening theme of the TV series, in that excerpt from RoJ.
And if you can get it, there's that part in KoT where he draws one and says, "Not in THIS palace!" |

Actually, this is pretty Aladdin-related, so I'm moving it. |

Hmm... I'm assuming she's referring to the microvilli in intestinal cells here. Basically, there's finger-like projections on intestinal epithelial cells called villi. They increase the surface area of the gut for more efficient absorption. Think about it as taking a piece of cloth and folding it - you'll keep all the surface area, but you can fit much more. Now, to make it even more efficient, these villi have microvilli on them, which basically does the same thing again. Long story short - they create more surface area for faster absorption of nutrients. |

Any specific type of pic, or does it matter? |

Then maybe Abis Mal for the Golgi Apparatus, I mean, he did bring Jafar back, and he's going to be the lyosomes. Aladdin and Jasmine could be the cilia. They cytoplasm can be just the trees around the Palace and all that.

I had to do an interpretive dance for the parts of a cell once.
.... Oh, the humilating memories. |

Should I take that as a compliment? I was originally planning on doing a circle of that cardboard stuff, but I saw about three done like that. Then I thought of doing one made of dog and cat food, since it comes in so many different shapes(bones, fish, shrimp, sticks, etc.), but I couldn't help thinking about the Palace as being the nucleus, so, I thought, why not make an Aladdin-related cell. I'll bet nobody will have one like it. |

Heh, last year I was in microbiology, and we did a play of a cell...I was in a group of 4, so we all had to change into different organelles during the play. Each organelle had a different accent 'cause I suggested it randomly when we were coming up with the script xD The nucleus was swedish, the lysosome was either jamaican or scottish (I can't remember), and then we had french and italian something-or-other...s. |

Animal cell. We're in a veterinary assistant class. |

Hmmm... plant or animal cell? That'll make a big difference. Here's for an animal cell:
Endoplasmic Reticulum: Carpet - it's flat, and used in transport!
Mitochondria: Genie - they make energy! (ATP)
Lysosomes: Jafar - they break things up
Cell Membrane: Rasoul - guards what goes in or out
I'm stuck on how to tie these two in:
Golgi Apparatus (makes lysozomes/phospholipids/etc, packages stuff for transport)
Ribosomes (make proteins) |

*for some strange reason, has LOVED the inside of a cell since the 6th grade* I think it is because we made our own cells using candy and food cause that really does help you remember. I still look at twizzlers and think "ER!!"
Did he say what kind of cell? Cause adding a cell wall changes the type... |

I think the palace would be the whole outer cell structure in general. The Sultan would be the nucleus (being as how he's so terribly important and all), and maybe Aladdin and Jasmine would be the mitochondria. The guards could be protiens or something. |

For extra credit, we're supposed make a model of a cell. The teacher was saying how people got creative, making them out of food and all that. I thought, maybe make an Agrabah cell, or something.
Like, the Palace, the nucleus, perhaps Rasoul the cell membrane, or something, you know, characters representing different organelles. What do you think? Who do you think would be best for what? |
