Pfah. Overall, they DO need a personality enhancement. I recall somewhere where they said nobody ever really wanted to animate the prince of the story because he was always so boring. That should tell you something right there.

I think that quote was one of the animators for Aladdin. They were talking about how to make him an interesting character because the story was actually about him, not about the princess [although with all the disney princess merchandise around you'd think it was called Jasmine, not Aladdin] and someone did say, "Nobody ever wanted to animate Prince Charming." The next time I go home from school I'll have to fetch my Aladdin DVD so I can watch that thing again.

I will agree with in Snow White Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. But other than that I think they are all pretty cool. They should have a personality.

Well, I have a bias because Philip is another favorite of mine, so don't ask me this question Laughing

Typically. Villians or sidekicks. Heroes are so blah, generally.

I see it just fine Laughing. Sometimes, it'll say it didn't post or time out on the connection, but it actually went through. That's why I copy and paste everything I write before I send it just in-case because sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

I tried making a list with an in depth commentary, but it wouldn't post for some reason, so here's my brief version:

1. Aladdin
2. Beast
3. Simba
4. Kuzco

Oh my God, why did Disney have to make such cool guys? I like all of them... well, all of the modern ones anyway, because let's face it, the guys in Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty didn't have much of a personality, in my opinion.

Here's my list (with added commentary):

1. Aladdin (no duh)

2. Beast- I remember that when I first saw the movie, I was terrified of him. But I warmed up to him as the goodness inside emerged. When I saw the musical (twice, I might add), I found the Beast more funny than scary; he DOES act more awkward, especially when he finds out that Belle isn't as scared of him as everyone else. Plus, those beautiful songs he sings make you feel more empathy for him. I actually CRINGED when Gaston was beating him up Sad

3. Quasimodo- He's such a nice guy. It isn't his fault that he had birth defects. I could kind of relate to him because I felt like an outsider at times.

4. Simba- He had to go through this whole coming of age process after his uncle made him believe that he killed his father. I loved him in the musical because he showed a lot more depth. I LOVE the song "Endless Night." Very Happy

5. Kuzco- Yeah, he does start out as a jerk, but you have to admit that he is pretty funny.

My favorite Disney hero is Simba, but nobody else mentioned him. Because he's not human or because nobody else likes Simba? I hope it's because nobody thought of putting up a non human. I consider Beast human. Another hero I like is Emperor Kuzco because he starts out being this totally rotten guy who thinks he's the center of the universe and then he ends up learning to make friends and care about other people. I like it when characters go through stuff like that instead of being the one-dimensional hero like Prince Charming. That's probably why I like Simba, too, he had to grow up and learn how to be responsible instead of lying around singing Hakuna Matata all day with a lazy warthog and meerkat! [I like Timon and Pumbaa, but you have to admit laziness is part of their character.]
