This was one of the reasons I bought the cast recording. I went to see it last August but the understudy was there that day . But he was pretty good anyway. |

Casting of the principal roles in Disney Theatrical Productions' upcoming stage adaptation of The Little Mermaid has been completed, and the list includes a number of well-known Broadway names. In addition to the previously announced Sierra Boggess as Ariel, the cast will include Sherie René Scott as Ursula, Sean Palmer as Prince Eric, Norm Lewis as King Triton, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian, Eddie Korbich as Scuttle, Jonathan Freeman as Grimsby, Derrick Baskin as Jetsam, Tyler Maynard as Flotsam and Cody Hanford and J.J. Singleton as Flounder. |
First Cogsworth and now Grimsby; I think the guy's getting typecast.
I just had a sad thought, though: if there ever is an Aladdin stage musical Jonathan probably won't be able to play Jafar, since he looks nothing like him... |
