(speaking of which: https://www.disneydining.com/aladdin-raises-the-bar-for-romance-in-this-sweet-video-ir1/)

Okay but I know your credentials and you check out Laughing. This person was like "I have an Aladdin screen name online [I guess that was a flex in 2007] and I've seen the movie dozens of times!" Get out of here with that Laughing

I don't think I've ever had an Aladdin screen name

Oh, we have to fix that Laughing

When me and Salukfan were working at Disney, we met someone under the Magic Kingdom tunnels that claimed to be a huge Aladdin fan and we literally argued this person down to understand that having an Aladdin screen name does not mean they love this series more than we do Laughing Laughing Laughing

I've only been once as an adult, and I *just* missed Aladdin and Jasmine.

I did meet someone once who said they were the biggest Aladdin fan, and when I said something about KoT, they said "Wait there were sequels?" Shocked Rolling Eyes Laughing

Oh, wow, I thought it was just a little concert for the music. That sounds so heartwarming to hear live music playing with the film. I think I'd cry the whole time Laughing

...really? Not even at Disneyland??

They played the entire soundtrack while the original film played, songs included.

One tiny spot that stood out to me - in the oasis scene when Genie speaks French, they played a little accordion part that isn't in the film. Got a good laugh out of everybody.

ETA: Just checked and it is in the legacy edition at about 2:20

I don't think I've ever met another Aladdin fan.

Wait, so they played the score/soundtrack while the original film was playing? Or just the songs with clips from the movie to help along the story?

I...don't think I've ever watched the original movie with other people either - not even other Aladdin fans Laughing

Loved it!!! 3 of the players played on the original soundtrack too! I had a friend and a private teacher in the horn section too Smile

Maybe my favorite part was watching it in a concert hall filled with people who were laughing out loud and clapping. I've seen the film so many times I've almost forgotten how funny it is, you know?
