This 'un seems to be done by a Johnathan Scott.

Was it the Burton version of the story? The Lang version is a little easier translated Laughing

*Pelts in like some kind of maniac on a sugar-high*

I found another transliteration!

"Alla ad Deen."

Don't ask me how I got so lucky. I just downloaded one of those 1001 Nights stories - a huge, honkin' multi-megabyte file. As I was randomly scrolling, I managed to stop RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORY OF ALADDIN!

Now, did I mention that this was a multi-megabyte text document?

From the looks of it, it's amongst one of the THE most detailed versions I've ever seen. It really tells you right away what a brat Alla ad Deen is, LOL. Even moreso than other versions.

I really should post it up. It looks awesome.

Do you know if the "au" had an "eh" type vowel sound, or did it have an "ow" vowel sound? If it does have a slightly different vowel, then the name might've been from a different dialect or something.
I think it's just trying to squeeze Ala Uldeen into one word. Wink
