Me too. In fact, I've always felt that way.
But Iago never was keen on the adventures to begin with - it seems ooc for him to suddenly want to go on adventures. _________________

It was never that Iago wasn't keen on adventure. It was the fact that it wasn't about the treasure that Iago didn't like. He did some pretty brave things and would risk his life if it meant going after the treasure. They practically had to drag him out of some places... he just didn't want to go on adventure that had no material profit.
With Cassim, they will probably go after treasure. So... that's why he went with Cassim. You can't ignore the ending of KOT, because IMO I believe that it fit with all the characters quite nicely. _________________ MysticMeg's Stories on THE LIBRARY OF AGRABAH!!!

That doesn't mean he isn't coming back. That family tends to ignore authority . But then again, when Aladdin becomes sultan, that question of if he'll pardon his father comes up.
And I like the idea of Iago leaving with Cassim. He can't be overly bad with Jafar and he can't be overtly good with Aladdin, but that middle with Cassim is just right. You can see that connection between the two of them form in the movie. And even Iago said it himself, "You're a good guy Cassim...but not too good." |

I dunno, Iago will do just about anything if it's to his benefit. If it isn't, he is not going near it. I don't think he gives a big hang about the adventure involved. _________________ You can never have too much Baklava.

Yeah, that's the only reason that comes to me and seems plausible, too. I mean, Iago does like treasure, but he wouldn't leave all his friends to go on treasure hunting. It may be one reason for him to go with Cassim, but not the main one.
It's right, Iago isn't totally accepted in the gang because of his greed and cowardice. I think Cassim accepts him, and Iago feels that. They are very much alike. I like the thought that Iago has finally found a friend who accepts him, but I'm still not very fond of the ending of KoT, I'm not sure why. _________________

Iago just can't be tied down to one thing for long-even friends
He may not like going on adventures all that much, but he does go. I mean, from what the series tells he went all over the place with Jafar and obviously with Aladdin. I think with Cassim he'll get that balance of traveling around to find treasure, yet sitting around and enjoying those riches at the same time. He's like a kid who whines about doing their chores, but they are still doing them |

We all know how much Iago likes surprises and changes.
He loves luxury, and he often says he's lazy, so I think he doesn't enjoy adventures that much. But on the other hand, wasn't there an ep where even he was bored and wanted to do something? Hm... Anyway, he goes on adventures when there's something in for him (Jafar travelling around to become more powerful, treasure hunts) or when he's forced to (by Aladdin). But I don't think he'd leave the palace just for the heck of it. _________________

Well, we all see how well he does when he is left alone whenever they go on a mission like in The Wind Jackals of Mozenrath or The Secret of Dagger Rock. He'll come eventually
But I seriously think he knows there's nothing left to do if he sits in the palace as lazy as he is since he does go on adventures for his own benefit. There'd be no more treasure hunts ( per se..I seriously doubt Aladdin sits around himself ) so he knows going with Cassim, who is also an "enterprising treasure hunter" like himself will benefit him more.
And it's not like he can touch any of the treasure in the palace anyways
I don't know-I haven't explored his character yet |

He'll come eventually, be it out of curiosity, jealousy or actual worry.
Yeah, I agree with you that he is aware of the upcoming boredom once Al is Sultan, and I also think it is one of the reasons that make him go with Cassim. Let's see, we've got greed, adventurousness and a new friend as his reasons. Yeah, sounds like Iago. But I like the new-friend one best.
He can touch the treasures, but he'll get his wing cut off if he does.
For not having explored it that much, you can discuss it quite vehemently. _________________

I always thought all he wanted in life was caviar, manicures, and a reclining chair that vibrates...and money, of course, that helps too. _________________ You can never have too much Baklava.

Well, when you have to study how other characters react to and around him, you have no choice but to study a little bit of how he is himself . He is pretty interesting, though. He's never really consistantly one way
