That's right!!! I forgot that the beast was turning 21... whoops. Belle was probably around 18/19.
It never says how old Pocohantas is, but it is mentioned in a few articles she was meant to have the body of an 18 year old. We'll go with 18, because John Smith looks like he's around 20.

I always thought that, too, but then I got the DVDs and checked, and the Sultan really just says "You must be married to a prince by your next birthday..." |
An older version of the script said, "you must be married by your sixteenth birthday", but they changed it because they didn't want to imply that that's when people should be married by and because they wanted to make sure we knew she had to marry a prince. They didn't change her age, just decided not to mention it.  |
