It's not like everybody just has to have a name that matches their personality or whatever. In my opinion, it's a little silly trying to match every character to a name that has an appropriate meaning or something. Most people don't know what the name means anyway, and if you have to explain it to them (like in the fanfiction or in an author's note), then to me you just sound pretentious.
"And I chose the name Wardah eb Badr because it means Rose of the Moon blahbiddy blahbiddy blah..."

I guess so, especially if it's your kids. Imagine, you name your daughter a name that means night, and she's afraid of the dark, or something. Oh, well, I just like names that sound nice, and have nice meanings. The name Javier is wonderful, but, it has a ridiculous meaning. |
