Yeah, An Extremely Goofy Movie was pretty good. I don't think I saw the first A Goofy Movie, but I remember seeing Extremely Goofy. What could possibly be funnier than Goofy in college? |

For the longest time I didn't see the first movie either! But I urge you to see it - it's got some really good musical moments (it's a musical Disney film rather than just a straight comedy), and some of the animation is amazing! The plot is also alot more developed and alot more sad.
But I agree, Goofy + College = gold! I love it when he bursts into Max's class in full 70's garb, it's just so over-the-top and hilarious! |

I have seen it plenty of times. You get sick of it when your little brother seems to watch it every day. |

I'd have to say for overall it'd be: King of Thieves. After that Lion King 2 and the Rescuers Down Under. The first time saw it though I didn't even know that Down Under was a sequel since it seemed like a whole different movie when I first watched it. All the rest though I didn't like much especially HoND 2 they wrecked the animation I tell you! It looked like some Saturday morning cartoon instead of a movie. |

I'll go with KOT for the fact that they actually tried to make a sequel that didn't look too much like an extended version of the cartoon series and an engaging story. Next up, "Lion King 1 1/2" for the comedy aspect and the improved animation from the sequels.
I know this artist from deviantART named mini-na. She was a Disney animator from its Australian division. She had done her share of animating the sequels and she had even stood her ground against the sequel-bashers, citing its not her or the other animators' fault if you don't like the movies and that they try to put as much effort into their work as Glen Keane and the others do into the theatrical releases.
Her post-Disney career includes illustrating for Tokyopop's Original English Language mangas. _________________

My response is earlier in the thread, but TLK 1 1/2 is one of them. It just works. And I agree with your comment about the animation. It's not as good as the theatrical versions, but they're still pretty high quality work. I just found, too often, the stories to be a little lacking (more along the lines of "why?"). But it's nice when a good sequel does come along.
Oh, could you provide a link to her gallery? I did a quick search but didn't find her. |

I really think KoT is the best on my list, but... y-yeah I'm sure everyone's mentioned that one
Others would be Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamps Adventure (Was that the title? Heck, I forget!), when I was little I loved that sequel and so did my mom. But as Blackat said an Extremely Goofy Movie was nice too! I wasn't even fond of sports or the X Games but I loved the movie in general. |

For me, 101 Dalmations: Patch's London Adventure (I actually sympathize with poor Lil' Lightning - plus, he was really a cute little guy), Bambi II, the Aladdin sequels, Toy Story 2, Rescuers Down Under, and An Extremely Goofy Movie are the best sequels.
I either hate everything else (the TLK sequels) or have no interest in seeing them (The Fox & The Hound 2, Dead Man's Chest). Altho I like the walrus and penguin duo in The Little Mermaid 2... *shifty eyes* |

Bah. Appeal to Pity is not a valid argument.
A fanfiction author can put her sweat and blood into the most terrible of fanfictions, but at the end of the day it doesn't suck any less.
It's obvious that someone didn't care about the movies that much; otherwise they would have had some quality control on the team to prevent such crap from happening in the first place.
And of course it's not the animator's fault. They just animate what they're given; they have nothing to do with the story. _________________

Oh! I forgot "A Goofy Movie" had a sequel! That one was good too though I prefer the first one. By the way, whatever happened to that girl in the first movie? Roxanne or something... |
