At least he does in the Disney channel movie "The Descendants":
In a present day idyllic kingdom, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic "Beauty and the Beast") is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, The Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters.
These villainous descendants are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?
I am so bothered by the concept of this show because all this unchecked institutionalized power backed by simplistic notions of good and evil is just making me think Belle and Beast are huge dicks for having the children suffer for their parents' choices, but all I keep thinking about is "...who did Jafar sleep with, though? "
We might also see a child from Aladdin and Jasmine - help us all

HA! I saw this a while back, didn't think to post it, and forgot it existed.
Yeah, it has sooooome potential to deeply explore the dynamics between good/evil. I want to say like Teen Titans style.
But lets be honest. It's gonna be dumb. PREP SCHOOL? DIZNEE STAHP _________________

I remember reading about this. I'm torn as the basic idea (next generation of Disney heroes, princesses and villains) has so much potential. But the high school setting and the sins of the father notions (really, Belle and Beast are that cruel?!) really make me nervous. Plus the names for the kids pretty much suck, they're so unimaginative!
And is it just me or does that press release read like Belle and Beast are dead? (why else would their son be taking the throne?) I know they most likely won't be... Then again, dead parents is a Disney tradition |

Is this animation or live action?
The concept is...interesting but I have no faith in Disney channel writing.
But if Kristen Chenoweth is Maleficent I may actually watch it. _________________

Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but this kind of sounds like bad fanfiction. I think as long as I don't expect a masterpiece like Frozen, I won't be too disappointed. |

Looks like it's a movie now, instead of a show, which might actually be good.
IMDB lists a character named "Aziz" - NO PLEASE DON'T LET THAT BE AL/JAS' KID PLEASE NO _________________

D23 Released a cast photo for this today.
Meet Jay.
Honestly, my initial reaction is that he could pass for Mozenrath's son more than Jafar, what with the color scheme and the overall look.
Article here:

Edit: Wait, I just read the article again and Jafar is played by a guy named Maz. The fact that Maz isn't playing Moz makes sad. _________________ "This cow's been covered with flour!" |

Dude, Maz Jobrani is a hilarious comedian. This always makes me laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwHOBJoASsM
And Jay looks suspiciously like Aladdin. That's some karma for you |

I had never heard of him before, but that video was hysterical.
I still stand by Moz/Maz wish list, though, it's wonderfully stupid! _________________ "This cow's been covered with flour!" |

The Fairy Godmother having a daughter around the same age as couples in their 20s is hilarious to me |
