Anyone else here ever suffer from what I like to call Aladdin withdrawal? I suffer from that constantly. Sometimes I can make it go away a little bit when I can't watch the movies by listening to Shakira's Ojos Asi. It reminds me a little about the music in Aladdin. However, sometimes it can just become worse, until I actually watch the movie. Laughing

So, how does everyone else here cope with Aladdin withdrawal? Just mildly, or severe?

No, I don't suffer from withdrawl since this website gives me more Aladdin than a person can handle. Laughing

I tend to start coloring/drawing other cartoons and stories that I love. Aladdin gets thrown into the mix.

However, I never go through withdrawals long, because I know the movie by heart I don't need to even watch it anymore. I can run through it in my head. Shocked

I know becaue I read, because I like to find out where things came from, etc. They probably think that we just use that number system because someone just said, this is what we're gonna use, period. Never stopped to ask why, or anything.

I try to tell them it isn't, but I think they're paranoid, or something. I did try to tell them once, it wasn't about Aladdin, but Amor Real. My father was mad that while I was washing dishes, I was watching Amor Real at the same time. I just talked back to him, pointing out that he couldn't stop watching football when it on. I mean, at least I was washing dishes at the same time! You have no idea how I paid for that. Not only was I grounded, he was mad, but I couldn't watch Amor Real the next day, and I couldn't finish watching it that day. I couldn't go to confession, either, because believe it or not, I felt bad for what I said to my father. My parents don't like the Church, either.

Ah, talking back. I have gotten in trouble soooo many times for that Laughing

. I think as long as you show them that this isn't going to take over your life to the point where it causes you to not do anything else, they might lighten up a bit. I know my parents were afraid I was trying to go back to my childhood the older I got because they thought I was watching more and more cartoons, but the truth was I had been watching them all along--I just never really showed them. When I felt they could accept it, then I showed them that this IS me and I am going to continue to BE me reguardless of what you think about it. You have to stand your ground.

Well, I mean, it's not like my parents are perfect, so they can't talk. And see, some of the things they say are childish, like telenovelas, hello, my great grandmother watches the exact same ones, and my grandmother's sister. No one says anything to them. Or, wait, my grandmother is always asking her mother to stop complaining about everything all the time.

Then when I act mature, they get mad because they say I act like an old lady. Rolling Eyes

Aladdin withdrawals. Yeah I could say I had those moments.

It's the reason why I put the , " Does your family make fun of you thread?"

- I was writing one of my fanfics and someone completely erased my disk that had my story in it. Oh my gosh, I was so depressed and upset. I was almost done with that too. I had to start all over again. It wasn't those things where it was written down on paper. I was almost done with it too.

- My father purposely hid my Aladdin dolls. I was combing the house looking for them. They were my muses in writing and I need them to inspire me. He watched me comb through my house. I was heart broken that they were gone. I had to asked my parents. My dad pretended he didn't know where they were and my mom helped my look for them. She told me that my dad hide them in the drawer. My mother said that my dad was teaching me a lesson that I'm such a kid for having dolls at my age. He did it to teach me a lesson!? A lesson on what?
