That's nice to hear. Currently I'm at the point where I get the basics of the character (he's pretty much a Bartimaeus,, jaded genie) but can't help but not really like him. Sure he gets better as the movie goes on, but something just doesn't work for me when it comes to him. Might explain it in details later, but exam is priority atm.

Welp, he's sure very much just Will smith, not exactly how I would imagine Genie. But even with that... there1s just something off abut him and I blame the storyline for that.
