Because, if you were bored and desperate enough to watch the episodes after that one...that annoying girl has ONE cool thing about her. Just like Brock falls for every other girl, he now knows what it's like to travel in the company of a girl who is ALWAYS falling for muscly guys. I thought that was funny. I STILL don't like the character.

Hee hee, remember that one where Ash turns into Pikachu and Team Rocket captures him? That one's probably the best of the ones after Kanto. Laughing

I thought Misty left because the gym was doing so poorly that it was on the brink of shut-down.

Truth be told, I'm not really all that fond of May either... but that little brother of hers makes it worth it. He's so cute.

(False dramacism) How dare you speak poorly of Brock the Hottness?! You are a disgrace to his very name! Begone with ye, vile blasphemists!

(Okay, it does get old. He never gets a girl. I'm conceptualizing a story about that...)

Aaaaanyway, I shall say this here: I love Brock, and Pikachu, and Psyduck, and Ash, in that order. As far as regular Pokémon go, though, my favorite species is Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise, my favorite species to pick on is Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, my favorite battle Pokémon is Lanturn (THE best Electric-type in the ENTIRE GAME)... and I'm rattling!

Anyway, I don't really get Aladdin withdrawal. I get Burton withdrawal, actually. If I don't watch The Nightmare Before Christmas or read about Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or read bad fanfiction (Continue to write bad fanfiction and I will continue to laugh at you!) from any above categories... well, I don't know what happens because I haven't tried it yet, but it's liable to be ugly.

And just for the record, kids do love robots. How else would have Transformers become so popular? I love robots, too. (Especially Fender! Heh heh.)

Wasn't that the one when he was dressed as a Mr.Mime? That they caught a Pokemon that was half twerp, half Mime? Laughing And my favorite battle was when Pikachu beat Raichu and Lieutant Surge. I miss that episode so much. My favorite Pokemon, though, was always Charmander.

Noooo, but that one was HYSTERICAL. I'm referring to this.

Weird, ain't it. Meowth gets so upset that "Pikachu" learned to talk and stole his thunder. And Ash is just yelling, "Put me down, you morons!"

Heheh, funfact about Charmander. The director, at the end of a session, still hadn't found a voice for him in his premiere episode. What to do? As he puts it, "Well, that was one Pokemon, there were supposed to be 150...I'll just jump in the box, do his voice, and we'll never see Charmander again, and no one will know I did it."

Of course, then Ash adopts him, and it became his own role, as well as Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Seel, Dewgong, and of course...Psyduck.

Interesting. Where did you learn those fun facts?

I never saw an episode where Ash and Pikachu switched, though.

The last time I watched Pokemon(this afternoon) and my brother was with me, he was like "What have they done with my Pokemon?! Where's Misty? And what happened to Pikachu and Weezing's voice? And Team Rocket's funnyness? All the new Pokemon look like weaklings, and it turns out that they're strong?!" It's really a pity. Crying or Very sad I was remembering when I used to run home from school just to sit at that very same stool where I was sitting, eat my lunch, and watch the show.

I watched it to see how it had changed, and see if I could learn to enjoy the new episodes as much as the others. From the looks of it, the only things that are the same are Ash, Brock, and Brock falling for every girl. Oh, well, at least I'm glad they didn't change those two. They're my favorites. Especially Brock.

Yeeeeeah. I missed Totodile a lot, even if he was newer. And I'm sure we all miss the age of the ENTERTAINING Pokemon movies. Blech. Everything I've seen after four was just...bad. Well, five was decent...but, still!

The episode where Ash becomes Pikachu was actually two episodes. A "witch," (really an amateur chemist who dresses like one that Brock falls for,) is making a beauty cream, and Ash pushes Misty out of the way to be the guinea pig. Obviously, it backfires. So no, the two don't switch places, Ash just turns into a Pikachu, and...gosh, I can't remember, I think Pikachu laughs at him. Laughing

I got the fun facts from the audio commentary on the 4th movie's DVD. They basically had the whole cast on it.

I heard from my sister that Ash turns into a Pikachu at the end of an episode and turns back into himself at the beginning of the next.

Sounds like they didn't have as much fun with it as they should've. Rolling Eyes

No, he becomes Pikachu at the end of one episode, and turns back at the end of the next...I think. There was enough time in there for Pikachu to laugh at him, him to go running around (I thought this was retarded,) playing hide-and-seek with his Pokemon, what's-her-name to fail about twenty tries for an antidote, and Team Rocket to capture him. ("Put me down, you morons!") Laughing So there was a fair bit of ridiculosity there, but I do agree they didn't have as much fun with it as they could have, because all he did the WHOLE TIME he could've been electrocuting stuff or, I don't know, learning to speak Pikachu, he spent running around playing TAG and HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK! Retard...oh well, that's Ash for ya...

Yeah, I remember I couldn't wait until the first movie came out. I was determined to be first in line.

She should have tried it on Team Rocket at the end. Laughing

If he wasn't such a moron, what would we ever do with him? Besides... CELEBRATE! Daniel Jackson turned out so awesome when he finally grew some brains, and given Ash's personality, the kid could be TOTALLY BADASS! Cartoons never get any character development. Even if Japanese cartoons get plot advancement.

(Note to self: have own putz character take an interest in studying, sympathy, and girls. No particular order.)

Now, now, I'm sure I can think of some Saturday-morning cartoon series that had Actual Character Development...

...Nothing comes to mind.

Alas, Brock's fascination with girls is a running gag, so to have him grow beyond this point would be to discard the gag, and *gasp* they could NEVER do that! It's funny and stuff! It's part of the show! It's part of BROCK!

Never mind the fact that after awhile, it gets so stale that you really wish they WOULD find something new.

Well, how come Ash has never taken an interest in girls? My brother even suggested that it was because he was gay, because he hangs out with boys. Rolling Eyes

Well, I like Ash and Brock. And Misty. And Team Rocket. They did mess everybody up a little bit, okay, quite a bit, but...

I don't know, Inuyasha gets a lot of character development through out the story. Especially with Inuyasha himself.

Sailor Moon (...yeah...) also has alot of plot/character development.

Japanese cartoons are always a bit better than our U.S. ones anyway. Confused

That's because Japanese cartoons aren't afraid to push the envelope and try new things...and because older people watch cartoons over there...
