Tony Jay, a great voice talent with a massively prolific career, died August 13th after failing to recover from micro-surgery. More here- http://www.poetsonbroadway.com/1Intro.htm

I know, I just heard about this about half an hour ago. Khartoum is gone now
....not that I liked Khartoum, but still. It's the principle of the thing .
He will be missed. *playing Hellfire in his honor* |

*Hugs the memory of Khartom and the narrator of Sea No Evil*
I will definetly miss that slippery, evil voice. _________________ "This cow's been covered with flour!" |

I felt something break inside me when I read that. He can't be gone! I loved his Frollo! _________________ "Now nothing will stand in the way of DOING THE DISHES!" |

;____; VIRGIL! NO!
Tony Jay played my favorite giant talking chicken!
Okay, in all seriousness... I hear his voice all over some of my favorite cartoons. He has such a distinctive tone -- not silly like what you often hear. He's got that gravel, that deep, sophisticated tone that's hard to find. I'm going to miss hearing him in roles like that. T_T _________________
