This was shown to me by a buddy who lurks here and I thought it was pretty flippin' neat.

The mosaic itself is made up of the faces of children who are a part of the Make-A-Wish foundation in which Genie is the official wish granter for Disney . It is located in Disneyland, next to Aladdin's Oasis (and the Jungle Cruise exit), so if you ever go there go see it! It will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside
I won't be able to see it for another year |

Ooh, it -is- cool! I love mosaic thingies like that. Someone did one of Simba in a similar pose at the LKFAA out of people's art, but I lost the name of the artist...I'll have to find it some day x__o _________________

Pretty spiffy.
But... they got Carpet's design wrong! _________________

I am surprised they remembered that much as it is. That pattern is super detailed |

Yeah, they prepared it last year for the 50th Anniversary. They asked guests and castmembers to submit their Disneyland photos for the mosaic. If you look closely when you go. Each square is a picture and when you pull out you see a big picture like Genie . It's called a photo mosaic. It's neat because the photo color adds to the color of the character.
The biggest flaw is that their distribution boxes looked like mailboxes. So people throw away their trash in the photo boxes thinking that they are actual trash cans. The photos get destroyed by someone throwing away their soda and food into the wrong box. |

I think the Genie one is pretty new, within the last couple of months (some started appearing by April/May). I was excited when I finally saw it - I'd been complaining ever since they started appearing that there were no Aladdin mosaics!
On a side note, the Stitch one at the Space Mountain entrance ROCKS. As does the Fantasmic one in New Orleans Square. _________________ I don't need intelligent drugs, because I don't know what they are. I like the Haunted Mansion One. One mosaic that I didn't like is the Critter Country . It's Pooh on the Red Balloon. They hung it over the River by the Hunny pot ride. The pictures are so small. You can't even tell who's on the pic. |

I don't know if it's there or somewhere else. But that computer tells you where your photo is located in any of the mosaics in the park. that one is for the make a wish pictures. |
