I've definitely seen that Jackie Robinson and Clara Barton videos on YouTube before. When and why, I don't have the foggiest.
And to answer your question, Edward Falcon, this educational short series, running from 1997-2002 (that's why it's Robin instead of Dan, since KOT came out in 1996), was in the block known as One Saturday Morning, which played shows such as Pepper Ann, Recess, and Doug. I definitely remember those shows, but not this segment. Pity, I know I would have loved it as a kid. _________________ "You're only given a little spark of madness. I was never a big fan of One Saturday Morning cartoons (I hated what they did to Doug, ugh!), so I never saw any of these until many years later on YouTube (and I never watched all of them, so thanks for posting them all!). Really fun! I'm glad they could get Robin to record these. I miss him so much. T.T |

I don't remember really watching some of those shows, but I loved Recess. I've always seen that show as a parody of the "kid-experience", like mocking the stupid cliques children make or showing characters with totally opposite personalities as best friends. Another show that did that was The Weekenders. It originally aired on the One Saturday Morning slot, so I don't know if you have heard of it, imekitty. Plus, Wayne Brady from Whose Line Is It Anyway? sings the main theme song. It doesn't get better than that!
I'm also glad it was Robin, but I'm sure that wasn't much of a surprise. _________________ "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." - Robin Williams |

I'm familiar with all of the shows that aired during OSM (too much of an animation enthusiast to not be), but I don't know...none of them really grabbed me. Some of them had great humor and music, but I guess overall, the characters weren't that interesting to me? Characters are super important to me.
But I did enjoy Recess and Pepper Ann. I think The Weekenders came out while I was living in Japan, so we didn't have ABC or the Disney Channel there. T.T |

Yes! I adored this series — used to watch it all the time on “1 Saturday Morning.” Glad to see that folks remember it! |
