In the first movie, when Jafar sees Aladdin in the sands of time and sends the guards to arrest him, how do they know where to find him? And why the heck didn't Jafar recognize Jasmine? |

I'm not sure about the first question, since if the guards knew where Aladdin was they probably would've arrested him a long time before. As far as the second one goes, I've always assumed that he wasn't really paying that much attention to Jasmine and even if he noticed it was her he really didn't care. Plus Rasoul looked pretty surprised when Jasmine lowered her hood; maybe it was just such a good disguise nobody noticed unless they could see her full face? |

Me personally, I've always thought that once Jafar saw Aladdin in the Sands of time, he recognized the area he was in since he lives on the outskits of the city where it's a little more run down. So, he was able to tell the guards where to find a boy he wanted arrested. I also think that maybe Jafar didn't know he was wanted, so when he told the guards to go arrest the following street rat at this place, it was a surprise for them, too that it was Aladdin.
And maybe he does recognize Jasmine, but didn't tell the guards that because he thought that maybe if they caught Aladdin they'd kill him on the spot for the kidnapping and Aladdin would be of no use to him if he was dead. Can you imagine him shoving his body in the cave of wonders anyways? "There. He entered." |

I doubt the guards would kill Aladdin if they were given a command by the Royal Vizier not too. But then, "accidents" do happen... |

Oh yes, just like Rasoul "accidentally" put Amin into the crocodile chamber, or him wanting "the king of thieves" dead or alive |

I've always thought Jasmine was a bit hard to see in the sands of time. Aladdin's face is very clear, but Jasmine's is a bit obscured. Maybe he just couldn't see her face well enough to recognize her? _________________ I don't need intelligent drugs, because I don't know what they are. You know Rasoul; he can be quite forgetful sometimes...expescially about that dead/alive stuff. |

It just slips his mind. "Ooohh, you wanted him alive to give him a fair trial? Oops. My bad!" |

And accidentally throwing Prince Ali off a cliff.
So why exactly were they surprised to see Jasmine out of the palace? You mean to tell me she was gone all day and no one noticed? |

The palace is a big place. Maybe they thought she was playing hide and go seek all day? Or had a royal tantrum and no one thought to go see how she was doing? |

I've pondered on this one myself, and I have a few ideas.
My first idea: Perhaps Jafar did see Jasmine with Aladdin in his hourglass. He probably would have made some kind of make-up story for her being gone.
My second idea: Jasmine's bday was coming up. Maybe everyone was too busy preparing for the party? Maybe the sultan was trying like mad to get her another suitor?
My third idea: Maybe they did know she was missing. Maybe that's what the sultan actually went to talk to her about in the first place when she was crying. But he couldn't scold her or anything because he realized she was distraut.
My brother says, "Because Jafar really doesn't give a crap enough to notice. And the only time Jasmine and the sultan really see each other is when she goes to see him or he calls her for something... etc."
My question: How did Jasmine get home after this little thingy with the guards? The guards weren't polite enough to offer to escort her home, so she walked home all by herself? Isn't that a bit wrong? Back then, princesses were supposed to be greatly protected![/b] _________________

I think that probably Rasoul dragged Aladdin to the palace. I think Jasmine either:
1: She snuck back in the way she came.
2: The other guards makes her follow, but later on.
3: The writers just simply didn't care to give any possible way to get back to the palace so they want us to think that she simply appeared there. _________________ "You're already writing the music into the songs and the music out of the songs and writing the music within the songs for dialogue and little bits of music for scenes.
