These are the exact words of my brother's theory about Jafar and Jasmine:

Jasmine and Jafar were in cahoots with each other all along!

One day, Jafar was after Aladdin. He went to Jasmine so that he could capture her too and use her as ransom for the sultan. But, you see, Jasmine and Jafar were in cahoots, and Jasmine was smart. She decided that she would ask Jafar for money. And if he gave her the money, then she would willingly play the part of ALaddin's little lover so Jafar could get his hands on him.

For example: This is why, in the scene when Jasmine was caught in the hourglass, why didn't Jafar just kill Jasmine and have it over with? He would never have actually killed Jasmine because she was his only ticket to Aladdin.

And when Aladdin defeated Jafar, Jasmine was devistated because she didn't get the dough, and she was left with this chum Aladdin. This is why, when they said they were going to get married, Jasmine was actually defending herself by saying that the law says she could only marry a prince. But the sultan, who was a dimwitted crapface, took her seriously and changed the law.

And this is why, in Aladdin and the King of Thieves, the thieves in the very beginning destroyed the wedding. She paid them to do that. ANd when they captured Aladdin and brought him to the thieve's lair thingy to kill him, Jasmine was intentionally not there to save him. (**Note: she didn't go with him just because it was "best he handled it alone." She didn't go because was too busy having an affair with Genie.**)

But, in the end, that stupid Aladdin worked things out and Jasmine lived miserably ever after.

AG and your brother do have some interesting ideas... Though it all does fit together. You have to give them that. But Jasmine having an affair with Genie? I don't think so... *thinks for a second* How about with Mozenwrath?
