First of all i wanted to ask are they called the Disney Adventurers or Disney Heroes?? i am talking about the "Aladdin,Tarzan,Hercules,Peter Pan" collection...its like some kida male collection like the girl's "disney princess" right??Another question why do they always add Captin Hook in the collection although he is not a disney hero he's just a villein they could have put prince Eric or the Beast instead! _________________ Aladdin ROCKS!!! www.AladdinZone.cjb.net |

I think "Disney Heroes" is a better term. "Adventurer" doesn't really make sense - they have their adventures, but most of them don't go out adventuring per se. _________________

It's called Disney Adventurer's probably because putting them as Disney Heroes would be putting that message out that "males are heroes", which Disney has both male and female heroes. *coughAlthoughTheyShovedMulanWithThePrincessescough* But this is a collection targeted towards boys, just as the princess collection is targeted towards girls. *has a lot of the Aladdin adventurer stuff herself and she's a girl *
And Hook isn't the only villain in the collection although you see him a lot. I have some Adventurer lego people and each guy has their villain and possibly someone else. (And can I just say that lego Aladdin, Genie and Jafar are hilarious looking )
I'm guessing you see Hook a lot because Hook and Peter Pan have this on going battle, which amuses me greatly . |

The characters they use for these things has a lot more to do with which are more popular than which fit the theme best. (Tinkerbell with the princesses? WTF?) _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |

Tinker Bell has exploded all over the place. She even has her own line of stuff now. It's getting a little annoying going everywhere and seeing all these supposed Tinker Bell fans who just randomly came out the middle of no where professing their love for her. I mean really, how many of those Tinker Bell fans have put in Peter Pan in the past 5 years? Now all of a sudden they see a t-shirt with her on it and go "OMG, she is SO me!"?
Alice is with the princesses, too. All of a sudden, "Alice in Wonderland" is considered cool amongst the teens |

^ I KNOW! My friends purchased all this Tinker Bell merchandise out of nowhere. When did she become so popular? I guess people love her for memorable quotes and the wya she voices her opinion....wait...she doesn't talk. |

i noticed on some merchandise they write "disney heros" and others they write "disney adventurers" anyway its not a huge market since i havent seen any in stores just a few on the net...i mean not like the disney princess revulotion that is happening now everywhere....they should make it in a proper way like they did with the girls.... _________________ Aladdin ROCKS!!! www.AladdinZone.cjb.net |

Disney Hero's sound better if you ask me. But I have yet to find any decent heroic Aladdin stuff in the Netherlands. Are there any large Disney Hero Aladdin sets like Hook's ship and Merlin's castle? Like Sultan's palace or the marketplace. They look good.
On a different subject. Comparing that with Lego is an insult to Lego. Lego is a thousand times better then any toy Disney could produce. For anyone interested some of my creations. Note: pictures are over a year old current situation is better. |

It was called "Disney Adventurers" and Hook was only in there as an adversary to Peter Pan. I remember the "Adventurers" themselves were Peter Pan, Aladdin, Hercules, Tarzan, and I think that sometimes Buzz Lightyear and Prince Phillip were included. |

Y'know, in Winx Club, the good girls are fairies and the good guys are heroes. Seriously. And the main girls are also princesses. _________________

I've never seen Philip! Buzz Lightyear is in the collection, but he pretty much has his own branch |

Well, the only big Phillip thing I can think of is they make a little boy Prince Phillip costume that looks nothing like anything Phillip actually wears but has his picture on it. (Like this super-Western-poofy JASMINE gown I saw on a guest the other day and had seen on eBay before...) |
