Okay, quick question: I saw a website that mentioned that Eden was freed at some point. I don't remember anything else on this subject... so, since I'm curious as usual... was she or wasn't she? _________________

As far as we know, no.
At the end of "Some Enchanted Genie", Dhandi inadvertently wishes that Eden would stay with her forever.
Of course, we have yet to see the implications of that. *Possible Plot Bunny!* _________________

Okay - thanks. Glad to have that cleared up. Somehow, the webmistress must've gotten that scrambled somewhere in her neural network. _________________

Yeah, she wasn't freed at all that we saw on screen the two times we do see her.
But like Nez said, Dhandi accidentally wished they could always be together so Eden is kinda bound to Dhandi now until she dies. Unless of course that wish made Dhandi immortal and they don't know it yes because she said "always". That's gonna be a big surprise |

Then again, I had this weird notion that what if the wish, rather than make Dhandi immortal, made Eden mortal, in a sense. That when Dhandi dies, Eden "dies" as well. Called me morbid, but it reminds of this one story in the play "Metamorphosis", the one request that an elderly couple asked from the pair of gods that they sheltered was that they would die at the same time, so that they wouldn't have to live a day without each other. _________________

Moley-snogs. Dhandi's wish could have some mighty weird side-effects... _________________

Yeah, like she could have an empathetic link to Eden. She could have become an "extension" of Eden's being.
Let the theories come in! _________________

An extension of Eden's being! Yeah! Like George in that Bob and George fanfiction when he becomes an aspect of the Author's personality!
Or maybe they just do some kind of weird mergy-thing. _________________

Here are some thoughts on the "forever" aspect...
Would Dhandi get decrepit and old but still live forever, a bit like Al Gebraic?
Or would Dhandi grow old and die, and Eden thus be bound forevermore to Dhandi's remains/death site?
If, perhaps, Dhandi *did* become immortal thanks to this wish, would the situation become so awkward that they would have to merge into one being just to make life livable again?
Would the personalities merge, or would Eden/Dhandi have a bit of split-personality going on?
What would Genie think of this new hybrid? What would she think of him?
Would she look any different? _________________

Tithonus and it was Eos, the goddess of the dawn, who asked Zeus to give him immortality, but forgot to ask for eternal youth. _________________
