I browsed through that book (or rather the story that was in this "Princess" story anthology). Jasmine's outfits were to die for, of course.
In that story, the suitors weren't spoiled but they each had some bizzare little quirk that more or less screwed their chances with Jasmine. So you gotta feel for some of them.
I remember reading this one fanfic "Stand Behind Me" that involved one of Jasmine's old suitors. He was named Haywood and I think he was a fat kid when he courted Jasmine. He found love, or at least the attention of Sadira, at the end of the story. _________________

Sadira? Psh. That's annoying...and cheesy. But I do think it would be funny if a fat guy fell for the princess...she's overrun with skinny people out in that desert. _________________ You can never have too much Baklava.

I thought of that when writing Consequences. But I more agree with this...

That seems plausible enough to me. Jasmine had some pretty high ideals, and like you said, was a bit of a spoiled brat herself. She wanted to marry a man she was actually attracted to.
So, I still hold to my original opinion: they probably all weren't as bad as Achmed , but they just weren't as good as Aladdin. _________________

Yes, not all the princes could have been as bad as Achmed. Jasmine just probably didn't fall in love with them.
Oh, no, wait, she said that all the suitors were stuff shirt swaggering peacocks, or something, so maybe they were all like Achmed. _________________ "I too am a member of your species, Captain, or I was. Oh! Don't forget Prince Achoo! In the story called " One True Love", he left because he was allgergic to everything. |

That would be a nightmare to live with. My mother also has allergies, and trust me, it is not fun when she's sick. She goes to sleep because of the medication, and then she sneezes so much and everything. It's annoying. I just say "How can one person sneeze so much and still be alive?!" The cat just stares at her before she gets tired and tries to find some peace and quiet somewhere else. And she goes through quite a bit of kleenex.
They used to be much worse, but they've gotten better since we got the cat. She used to be allergic to cats, but it seems that having cat hairs all over the house helped control her allergies a little more. She still gets them, but not as bad. _________________ "I too am a member of your species, Captain, or I was. Perhaps I am not anymore. Perhaps you are right in thinking of me as an alien. Yeah, I have REALLY bad allergies. Especially in the summer/fall months. It's like one day, I'm totally fine... but the next I sneeze so much I can't even put make up on because my eyes tear up so much. I have medication, but it can cause fainting spells, so I try not to use it to much.
But, jeez... when it does hit me, I can't even get a sentence out without sneezing. It's easier just to lock myself in my room and wait an hour or so until it calms itself out. _________________ MysticMeg's Stories on THE LIBRARY OF AGRABAH!!!

In my fanfic " Come What May", I had a suitor for Jasmine. His name was Prince Rajan. In my story they were arranged to be married. They met when they were five and they were playmates in the Agrabah palace. Eleven Years after the arranged marriage agreement. The Sultan found out that Prince Rajan's country was destroyed by the Ethereal. So the Sultan had suitors to come court Jasmine when she was sixteen. Prince Rajan's country was moved and rebuilt. When they heard about Jasmine's courts ship, Prince Rajan went Agrabah. He arrived at the same time as Prince Ali aka Aladdin.
Prince Ali's entourage was so extravagant that Rajan was pushed off to the side ( literally). Rajan went to a near by town and return after two days. After the two days, Rajan saw a blue giant carrying the Palace. He too thought Agrabah was done for. After three years later, when Prince Rajan and his father the King of Majarajah knew about Jasmine's being married. They returned to Agrabah to claim what's rightfully theirs.
Then my story begins from there.
Awesome part... is that Adiba drew Prince Rajan. It's an awesome pic. Anybody want to see? |

Come on guys, we're supposed to make up suitors! Take advantage of this opportunity! I'll start.
suitor#364
Jasmine: Oh, how lovely! Is that rose for me?
Beast: No! You can't have it! Don't touch! Roooarrr!
Jasmine: Alright. I'm sorry. Er...what's with the talking house appliances?
Beast: ::looks to Lumiere and Cogsworth::
Lumiere: ::whispering:: Complinment her! The hair, the eyes, anything! pick a feature! Ask her to dinner!
Beast: You're going to dinner with me, or else!
Jasmine: Excuse me?! Uh...are you SURE you turn hot later on?
Beast: ::shifty eyes, glances at wilting rose:: Yes!...Maybe...Well, no, but I have dancing silverware! They sing!
Jasmine: Oh, hell it's not worth it. Next suitor! |

Yeah, I totally forgot I was supposed to make up a story for one of Jasmine's suitors like I did for Aladdin's psycho girlfriend |

Her line was "A prince like you. And every other stuffed-shirt, swaggering peacock I've met!" This line in and of itself doesn't indicate that they were all like Achmed.
Though I do imagine that most of them were full of themselves to some degree. _________________
