Someone on one of the threads pointed out that it was Genie's parody in Kot. " Lifestyles of the Rich and Magical"
I saw Cleopatra and Julius Ceasar. Are they guests or part of Genie's charade? Genie did Moses, Thor, and Osiris.

That was Horus, not Osiris. I know Genie said Osiris, but, yeah, pet peeve. Mad

I'm pretty sure Genie just made them; Aladdin pretty much has to be set a long time after they were alive. And if they were real would they have brought a giant salad? Laughing

After they were alive? Are you sure? A friend and I were debating about the Roman Empire on when the Romans took over Egypt. I try to point out that Cleopatra and Julius Ceasar was at the wedding. But, she said, It was a parody from Genie. But if it was after they were alive.. Smile ..hmmmmmm
She said, That Greece was it's prime not Rome. Somehow I thought that Mechanikles was Roman because of the red shirt that he had under. Greeks were mostly white.

Being as how Caesar and Cleopatra didn't match the art style of the other characters, it's just been my impression that it was one of Genie's gags.

Not only would have Caesar and Cleopatra been long dead by that point, but Caesar Salad was centuries away from being invented. Very Happy

...I thought that was the joke? You know, like how those interviewers purposely call an actor or actress by the wrong name or the person they get mistaken the most for to piss them off Laughing

I'm still sticking with the idea that he conjured them, because they were drawn up to resemble the actors who played them in a really old movie.

Which really old movie? I've seen the Cleopatra movie with Elizabeth Taylor a-plenty, and the "caesar" figure struck me as looking more like Richard Burton, who had played Marc Antony than Rex Harrison, who had placed Caesar.

I couldn't tell you which one if I tried, but note that they're purposefully charicatured (sp?). They're drawn the way the old looney tunes cartoons would draw well-known celebrities.

...you know, I never realized that before. Laughing I just thought the writers mixed them up. But now that you mention it, that explains why Horus got pissed! Laughing

I guess he must have just made them, or something, because they weren't among the other guests at the wedding, just during that "Lifestyles of the Rich and Magical". I was looking for them, see.

You know, I never thought of that.
