He grabbed Aladdin's ankle, said the "King of thieves, charmed life, blah blah dramatic line here", slammed his sword down on his cape, Aladdin moved and it ripped.

Rasoul ripped the cape. The hood and the cape is two different things with two different pieces of material, right? So...why was he holding the hood after we hear the rip? That part wasn't ripped at all. Unless it fell off, which then would make sense. He could have had the hood still on and ran away Laughing

I've wondered about that, too. I'm guessing he just figured he didn't need it anymore, now that he could see his face, or something. Confused

Btu even so, when Rasoul ripped the cape, his hood was still on. Maybe it fell off when he rolled over and got up? Or he took it off to reveal himself, in which case I'll have to say "Al, sweetheart, what were you thinking?" Laughing

It makes more sense that it just fell off, when he rolled over. I can't really see how, though. I mean, he only got, maybe a piece of the cape. The only thing that should have happened would be that the cape ripped in half or something. And Rasoul kept a piece as a souvenir, or something.

I think Rasoul grabs the hood, actually, and not the cape.

When he goes to stab Aladdin, Aladdin rolls over quickly, which leads Rasoul to drop the sword near Aladdin's right shoulder, where the hood is.

When Aladdin says, "yes", he flings the remaining section of the hood, which had been tucked into the back of the cape, over his shoulder. The right side of it isn't connected to anything.

It's a stretch with the way it's animated, but I'm gonna stick by my story. Laughing

But does the same theory support the fact that when Cassim is tossing Sa'luk the Hand of Midas his gold cape isn't there at all but magically shows up after? Or Jasmine's magical changing hair styles during their first wedding? Or Sa'luk's claws magically changed hands when they are on the boat? Cause apparently all the mess ups in this movie can be explained with magic Laughing
