I watched Sleeping Beauty for the like.... the thousandth time just now. *shrugs*

Anyways, I wish to express my opinion regarding this movie. I don't like it at all because of the goody goody concept (Aurora, the 3 Faries), but the only and I mean the only reason I like that movie is none other than Maleficent, one of the most powerful sorceress in the cosmos, and another friend of mine.

Why do I love her? Because she is nothing like other dumb, insignificant, fat, ugly evil doers who fail humorously. She is simply divine in a Hellish way, gothic, serious, imposing, ruthless, just like me in a way. Also, her voice is very powerful, and she can cause some serious damage to insignificant fools. Also, her loyal minion is a raven called Diablo, who (unlike her other useless minions) is smart, cunning, and follows almost all orders of his mistress without fail. And that's not all. I love her, because of her wonderful, intimidating, malicious giant Dragon form. It brings the hotness and most dangerous side out of her.

Too bad evil always loses, and I think that rule sucks. Now don't get me on "Bad guys always win" part, what I mean is that the stronger one has, and I mean has to win, and the weaker ones should perish. In the whole it's "Survival of the fittest."

Here's a chilling speech that she delivered to that impudent Prince Philip:

"Oh, come now, Prince Phillip. Why so melancholy? A wondrous future lies before you. You, the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true. Behold, King Stefan's castle. And in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the Princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate! Why, 'tis the self-same peasant maid who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed most wondrous fair. Gold of sunshine in her hair. Lips that shame the red red rose. In ageless sleep she finds repose. The years roll by, but a hundred years to a steadfast heart are but a day. And now, the gates of the dungeon part, and our prince is free to go his way. Off he rides on his noble steed, a valiant figure, straight and tall - to wake his love with love's first kiss, and prove that true love conquers all." (wicked laugh)

These are the reasons why I began to respect her like the great friend she is (I love the unholy dark magical types of beings, since I'm the God of Sorcery) and one of the true villains of the cosmos.

Long live Maleficent, and now that I've made my point, I think I need to shut up now. *chuckles*

Maleficent and Jafar? Absolutley not!!!!!! Shocked

She's more compatible with me, Hades or Chernabog.

I could show you some funny screenshots of Maleficent rejecting Jafar.

Ever hear the expression "opposites attract"?

I don't think Maleficent and th'boss would get along too well. She'd want to do her thing, so he'd give her some leeway, and the next thing you know she's wanting promotions, raises, dominion over greater and greater chunks of the underworld, etc, and it makes th'boss' life a living hell. At least for a guy who already lives there.

Yeah, she's pretty spiffy, but that whole dragon thing just bugs me. Quoth Peter Anspach: "I will not turn into a giant snake. It never helps." Generally, this phrase applies to giant anythings -- she really should have known better. In my book, any villain who is not Evil Overlord List Compliant is Officially Not Awesome.

On the other hand, you (Lord Mozenrath) and Maleficent totally deserve each other. Twisted Evil

Maleficent wanted Prince Phillip. And who said she was dating anybody? I think she's too busy thinking up ways to get revenge on those demned fairies. Because, if it weren't for them...

And I liked the movie. It had wonderful art. And I like the story in general. (Though I'm glad the original story is long forgotten.)

Forgotten by whom, may I ask? I remember it quite well myself.

As for Maleficent and Mozenrath, I see them developing some kind of mother/son type-relationship myself. Or Maleficent TRYING to act in a mother-like manner toward Mozenrath; Mozenrath probably wouldn't like it and would sort of fill the slot of the rebellious teen son.

Not a lot of people seem to know the very original story. Also, there is a version where the prince's mother is an ogar, but of course if you look at the extras on the DVD, that was mentioned.

Yep, she loved to eat children. (I'm not making this up. A lot happened after the prince woke the princess. I only found one place with the full story, but that site's been down for awhile now.)
