And, of course, Syera never tells anybody that I found the picture.

She didn't even give the thread an alluring title! "Disney finally granted my wish..." indeed! Should've done something like "Promotional Photos from POTC3." That woulda got their attention.

On another note, though...

That is. An AWESOME. Outfit.

I don't find Johnny Depp particularily attractive (even as Sparrow, who coincidentally is his most appealing incarnation yet), but that outfit is... beautiful. (Tom Cruise, eat your heart out. Or... whatever they say in these situations.)

(And by the way, did you know that by fanfiction rules, if someone dies and comes back wearing some kind of cool Oriental outfit, it means they've been deigned a spirit guardianship of the other characters.

)

Yeah, the costume designers have really outdone themselves this time.

*wipes tears* Yeah, I know. It's along the same lines as 'John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, Teyla Emmagan, and Ronon Dex: Elemental Sages.' With any luck, TPTB have much more sense than that. Hopefully, they're just doing the outfit because (a) the costume designers like it, and/or (b) Jack is doing his best to lie low in the China Seas, and/or (c) Jack is actually working for/with Sao Feng (whether by his own volition or because somebody told him to; either way the situation would be temporary).

And for a bit of healthy Depp-related humor, I leave you with this interesting piece of made-up dialogue:

"So I says to the cannibals, 'Come work in me factory. You can eat all the people ye want. I'll even pay yer wages in disloyal employees if you like.'"

Actually, I thought Depp would make a good Stargate baddie before I ever saw SGA (and consequencially, the Wraith) - I'd sort of toyed around with a concept of a Goa'uld played by Johnny Depp and loosely modelled on Jack Sparrow. Razz
