I'm really late! I'm only now just seeing this! But after seeing the full length trailer for it I have to say...why does Jafar's son suspciously look like Aladdin? Why does he have Aladdin's voice, demeanor and charm? And why is Jafar's son's hat the same color as Aladdin's hat? And why is his shirt the same color as Aladdin's vest? And WHY is his main villain trait STEALING? Laughing

Stealing was not even Jafar's thing! Laughing

JAFAR, YOU HAVE SOME 'SPLAININ TO DO! Jafar didn't procreate! He magicked a child that was exactly like Aladdin cuz he's totally obsessed with him!

I've seen this, and it's...well it's....not fantastic. But, it's not a complete flop either. With Jafar, he was just there to fill the room, to be honest. He had one moment that made him stick out, but it was him getting excited over seeing a lamp resembling the Genie's, only for Jay to say "I've already tried it, dad." Other than that, he gets overlooked for Kristin Chenoweth's Maleficent and Kathy Najimy's Evil Queen.
They don't explain a lot when it comes to the backstories of Jafar and Jay. Jafar owns a pawn shop (there's no magic at all on the Isle of the Lost), and Jay steals things for his father to sell at great prices. That's about it. There's no mention of any relation to Aladdin and Jasmine at Auradon Prep, so we don't have any conflict like Mal has with Audrey (daughter of Maleficent and daughter of Aurora respectively).
Hopefully what I said makes sense.

And yeah, I've heard Kathy Najimy's Evil Queen is hilarious. She says something about Snow White having work done Laughing
